Monster Trucks Buried In Mud

Truck Deep Mud Bog FI

This is just awesome. The water is so deep it covers some of the trucks, no matter how hard they try to get through they get buried.

This one goes until it dies, I cant imagine trying to unstick that one!

The video is FAST, but I think this is a modified JEEP pickup. Possibly a Comanche between 1985 and 1992 model year. You may recall that these trucks were originally outfitted with a standard 2.5 liter or a 2.8 liter V6, and as you can imagine there is no way that great sounding motor is anywhere near stock.

The Comanche was based on the Cherokee in both body and styling of the day. The key difference was that the subframe of the Comanche was modified to support a cargo box.

The big motor upgrade came in 1987 when the 4.0 liter was introduced with a huge (LOL!) 173 horsepower. But imagine that at the time this was a 63 horsepower improvement over the previous motor, so it may have felt like a rocket.

One of the key options on the Comanche was that it could be had in either 4×4 or 4×2, now you can only imagine which I prefer, but the option was available at the time.

There are a few really nice condition Comanches available on the internet if you look hard enough, but a lot have gone away due to use and age. there is a comanche club at comanche . com if that is something that you want to get into.

As for the video, well this is a lot of effort to get through this mudhole. I’m not sure if they may have been able to take another route and make it or if the hole was meant for larger trucks.

I will say they gave it everything and you can hear the disappointment in the crowd as the engine finally gives out and the truck stalls out.
