Check out these Ford truck pictures of this custom 6 x 6 F 250 modified Ford.while this is not a new Ford F1 50 truck is still an amazing piece of machinery.it appears to be a four-door extended cab Ford truck built onto a military 6 x 6 chassis. It apparently started life as an M 35 frame military truck or 2 1/2 ton 6 x 6.
The second video apparently this tough built truck was driven so hard that they blew out the transfer case
According to Wikipedia the end 35 2 1/2 ton cargo truck is a triple axel 6 x 6 cargo utility initially used by the United States Army and then sold and utilized the nations all over the world. Over the years it has been turned into a family of specialized vehicles used by the military and has been in production used since World War II. It’s known as a deuce and a half and most veterans or military will remember it, maybe not fondly though if you ever ridden in the back one it with a full platoon.
Then 35 cargo truck is rated to carry 5000 pounds off-road or 10,000 pounds on roads but have a reputation of hauling even more than that. These trucks were typically powered by a four 78 in.³ six-cylinder turbocharged multifuel engine developing a measly 134 hp and 330 foot-pounds of torque. The early models had manual transmissions and to speed transfer cases.
From 1994 until 1999 the A3 variant was introduced in most of the A3’s came with a Caterpillar 3116 diesel engine and the manual transmissions were replaced with automatics.
So it should make for a great off-road machine mating afford four-door pickup to this workhorse chassis. It’s not quite clear what engine this has in it but it could range from the standard six-cylinder diesel to, as some commentators pointed out a modified for 460 Ford V8.
